About the Session

Q: When should I book my photo shoot?
A:  We book sessions Friday from 4 PM-10PM. Saturday's 8 am-11 pm Sundays 8 am -12 pm. 

Q: Can I book my session on a Saturday or Sunday?
A: Yes, if you are adding make-up and hair through our salon services you may book on the weekend. Weekends are booked at least two months out so please remember you may not get a weekend right away.  

Q: I have to work around my work schedule, is there any way I can do an evening session?
A: Yes, Fridays and Saturdays are available.  From time to time we do Summer Marathons at Hotels and will have evening appointments. Summer months will allow for some evening appointments so please check after March 13th.

Q: Where does this shoot take place?
A: This year we will be shooting in Boutique Hotels around the Metro Detroit Area.  We have done this over the past few years and it has always been such a wonderful experience that we have decided to bring some change and "newness" to the shoots we do.  We have a huge repeat business so this will allow those clients a nice change as well.  

Q: How soon do you recommend booking? 
A: As soon as possible! Our recommendation is 4-6 weeks before the date of your special occasion. Certain times of the year we are busier than others, we recommend 6-8 weeks before the date during this time. We understand it may not always be possible to book so far ahead, please contact us to discuss your options.

Don’t wait to book until the last month before your LivingSocial or Groupon expires! We want to make sure that all of our clients get in for their shoots, but remember, with such a full calendar you must book in advance. 
If we cannot book you before your LivingSocial or Groupon expires, we cannot extend the deal.

Hair & Make-up, Wardrobe

Q: Is hair and make-up included?
A: Hair and make-up is not included in the LivingSocial or Groupon deal, however, we HIGHLY recommend you book this service for your boudoir shoot. You can add on this service for $120. We do supply you with talented and long-term make-up and hair artist.

Q: What hair and make-up style do you recommend?
A: We HIGHLY recommend getting professional make-up done before your shoot with us!

Q: Do I need to bring my own outfit?
A: Yes, we recommend that you bring your own outfits to the studios so it fits properly and you are comfortable in it. We have found sharing clothing to be very unsanitary and do not want to make you feel obligated to purchase something you may not really want to purchase the day of the shoot. 

Q: Do you do ‘nude’ photos?
A: We will do whatever you're comfortable doing! It is tasteful and classy. 

Q: How sexy do I need to go?
A: This is completely up to you! You can go super-sexy with lingerie (a la Maxim magazine), or bring in one of your hubby’s white shirts, or of course you can always go a little more conservative – even a sexy dress could look amazing!

Q: Can I add on an additional outfit to my session?
A: Yes, an additional look is $100.00 and will give you 7 more images.  This is a savings of $40.00!

After the Shoot

Q: When do I get to see my images?
A.You will be getting an email within the first five days of your shoot to view your proofs in the privacy of your own home. *this is an isolated link and is saved on a high security photography holding site.

Q: What if I want to purchase something additional, like a boudoir album or prints? 
A: You are more than welcome to make an additional purchase after your shoot and the majority of our clients do add on additional images. Please view our entire document that will be sent to you, so you can plan accordingly.

Q: Do you airbrush?
A: Yes (while keeping the photos as natural as possible.) Airbrush (smoothing) is an additional $50 to your packackage or for $100 you can add full body photoshop with will remove bumps and nip and tuck body areas requested.  We do recommend that if there's a particular part of your photo you would like fixed, make a note next to the image number when you send us your choices so they will be perfect! This only applies to packages under 250 at time of purchase. Groupons/Living socials do not come with full package editing.

Q: When can I pick up my order?
A: Due to the nature of the images, I ask that all orders be picked up. We will ship orders, however, you will be required to sign a liability release and pay full shipping, insurance and tracking.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A:  Any major credit or bank cards, cash, checks. All orders will not be processed until your check clears. If your check bounces you will be charged a $50 fee. No orders are placed and worked on until the ENTIRE balance is paid in full.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: Yes, if you are making an order of $300+, we offer a payment plan. 50% is due at booking and the remaining balance is due for product to be made.

Legal Information

Q: Who owns the images? 
A:  We, The Boudoir Loft, owns and retains all copyright and ownership of the images. We do however give clients the right to personal, non-commercial use of their purchased images.

Q: Will my images be posted anywhere without my permission? 
A: Privacy is VERY important to us and we respect any choices you decide to make. After your session is over we will go over the image release options with you. You have the option to have your images used or not have your images used if that is what you wish.

Q: What if I need to reschedule?
A: My regular business policies apply to canceling or rescheduling. A $75 change fee is applied to all reschedules. A cancellation/no show is a forfeiture of your voucher.
